While Ferrari, Porsche, and BMW hybrid technology to investigate mobi their sporting cars, Aston Martin was actually set aside for technology products. Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez told Auto Telegraaf newspaper that hybrid technology can not meet the expectations of customers. "However Lagonda, might be an appropriate model for this technology," said Bez.

Despite the poor response SUVs like the concept shown at Geneva Motor Show last year, Aston Martin remains committed to revive the Lagonda in the years to come.

"SUV first shown at the Geneva Motor Show is just a concept and we are still conducting research and feasibility studies," said the Aston Martin Sales Manager for Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, Marcel Fabris.

"If this project is continued, the possibility of launching Lagonda model can be implemented most quickly in the next 2012 years," he added.

In an interview with Auto Telegraaf, Mr Bez suggests that hybrid models can be present in the range of Lagonda models. In other words, specifically for Lagonda, the use of hybrid engines could still be possible.

For SUV vehicles, this technology is very possible for Lagonda. Hybrid technology can help improve efficiency as practiced by Lexus and Land Rover.
