Life-Dies Saab has been set by General Motors (GM) until January 7 this limit and to Spyker, GM provides an opportunity to submit the third and final bid for a car brand that became one of the icons in Sweden.

Dutch car manufacturer CEO Victor Muller said this week that the Spyker plans to continue with the product life Saab 9-4X crossover, 9-3 sedan and the latest vehicles and station wagon models 9-5.

Besides Spyker also plan to maintain the headquarters, technicians and production facilities in Saab Trollhattan to manufacture the entire vehicle, except that 9-4X will be built in a factory in Mexico.

If Spyker successful with its bid, GM and Saab will maintain their close relationship. The machines and components can be used by GM's 9-4X, 9-5 while the platform model can be shared with the Cadillac SRX.

According to Reuters news agency, citing Muller that Spyker has been given time to 'final offer' and 'no one is rejected'.

Meanwhile, the union representative Paul Arkerlund Saab told Automotive News this week, although GM has extended the deadline until January 7th, the wind-down Saab still continues today.

Wind-down process is a process where the whole plant activity gradually reduced before it finally stopped operating.
