Search Engine Submission - AddMe all about automotive: UTS Develop Suspension Anti Overturned

Minggu, 13 Desember 2009

RESEARCHERS at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) were busy developing an active suspension system that can eliminate the symptoms of body roll is the total potential to prevent the overthrow of the high-roofed vehicles and heavy vehicles such as SUVs and crossovers.

Active suspension system (a system that automatically reacts to road surfaces and movement of vehicles) have been tested previously. But the high cost and complex system makes this system difficult to apply to passenger cars daily.

Research conducted by UTS aims to develop a system that not only improve the control performance, but also to find the system simpler and cheaper.

They will develop a system that they created a base double action hydraulic cylinder (double-acting hydraulic cylinder), which will replace the function of the spring and damper units on vehicles.

Laboratory tests have shown promising results and UTS teams will continue their experiments in real conditions using the latest model Ford Territory donated by Ford for this purpose.

However, it seems we still have to be patient waiting for the active suspension is immediately realized in the production vehicle. The problem still needs a few more years to the development process for the purpose of this research can be realized which can be simple and inexpensive.
